Single Leg Stance and Tandem Stance


Tandem stance is a position we utilize to increase foot strength and endurance. It is a stepping stone exercise from two feet together. Tandem stance challenges the back foot more than the front foot.

Standing with one foot in front of the other, try to hold the position for as long as possible. Standing in this position makes the foot muscles work harder than if the feet were together. It is not as difficult as standing on one foot.
